Last weekend we drove over to Kings Wood in Challock Forest to take a stroll through the wood and to spot the last of the bluebells. To be honest Aoife didn’t seem to bothered about the bluebells but she had a lot of fun running through the forest, exploring the tracks, collecting stones and pointing out the ants! (more…)
Last Sunday we took advantage of the sunny weather and drove down to Camber Sands and Rye. It was our first trip to the beach since we’ve moved to Kent and we were really chuffed to find that Camber is only a 40 minute drive from our house.
I am somewhat embarrassed to admit that this was the first time that Aoife had been to the beach. Living in London for the first 18 months of her life meant that the majority of our week was spent ferrying her to and from childcare, battling the tube into work and attempting to keep the household ticking over. We were usually so tired come the weekend that we couldn’t muster up the energy to leave zone 3, let alone take a trip to the coast. Luckily our move to the country has left us with more time and energy to devote to fun family activities at the weekend and now that the weather has improved there is even more reason to get out and about.
Hello and thanks for stopping by my blog. I’m Ciara, I’m 31 and I live in a village in mid Kent. I’ve written a more substantial bio in All About Me so pop over to that page to learn a little more about me and my family. I’m very excited to have an outlet to get down in words the conversations that I usually have with myself in my head (when you spend the majority of your day with a 2 year old you tend to talk to yourself a lot – or is that just me?!)
A recent convert to the iPhone I am slowly becoming an Instagram addict and I think my most recent pictures sum up my favourite things just perfectly:
- pretty packaging
- photos and momentos
- wine; and
Hopefully I’ll see you back here soon!
